  • Super psyched I don't have to weld the cage in with the glass in place. The extra space and light is awesome.
  • To pop the windshield out, first you make a hole.
  • Then you slide a sharp wire through the seam, loosening the glass.
  • You have to laugh throughout this process, especially when you don't break the glass. This time....
  • Damn, Dan's hat is dirty AF.
  • Rear glass leaving, never to return. It will be replaced with a very light carbon fiber replacement.
  • All of the holes in the chassis are filled or patched. Holes are filled with MIG and ground clean. I like to use silicone bronze for my chassis patches. It melts at a really low temperature so no worries of distorting the sheet metal, and it cleans up nicely if you choose to grind smooth.

  • The S50b30US block that we are using for our build. It's been on this stand for five years, just waiting for it's turn.
  • Some welds are easier to get to than others, but dropping the cage off of the plinth boxes and using a good quality gas lense helps a bunch.
